by skate4ltj, 33 days agoIt's better a little late than never, I suppose... but last week we cleared the Lower Spire of Icecrown Citadel!
Due to lack of a full 10-man raiding group, we've been putting off venturing into Icecrown Citadel. It wasn't until last Saturday we decided "hell with it" and pugged 3 DPS so we could check it out. We are sure glad we did!
We started off with a bang and 1-shot Lord Marrowgar and earned the achievement "Boned!" We also 1-shot Lady Deathwhisper. On the airship battle it took us a few tries, but no matter, as we two-shot Saurfang and got another achievement! Of course since it has been so long... I completely forgot to get a usual guild first screenshot
Great work guys! This week we are ready to tackle the new bosses with some additions to our crew.
by skate4ltj, 62 days agoThe Rancor 25-man group disbanded a couple months ago after Narcissa and Malvan decided that the stress and commitment of leading a 25-man raiding guild was just too much. While it was a very sad moment for Rancor, they appreciated everyone's understanding and wish all the raiders luck in their new guilds.
After some dinking around every week with 10 mans just to get the raiding fix in, Rancor is ready with patch 3.3 to yet again step up their game in 10-man raiding. While we have a pretty good group going, we are in need of 2 more regular raiders.
Progression raiding (Icecrown) is Saturday nights starting 5pm server. Friday nights, starting at 8pm server, we will be doing the shorter stuff - Onyxia (until we no longer need it), weekly raid quest, ToC...

by skate4ltj, 133 days agoOur 2nd night of fighting the Twins was very successful... we even one-shot them for our guild first! Faction Champions was also a one-shot, even with the resto shaman and resto druid, so it was a good night in ToC. We'll clear it Wednesday for sure!
by skate4ltj, 138 days agoWell that "little" nerf by Blizzard in the latest patch seemed to help us out as it only took THREE tries last night to get Faction Champions down. Not only did we finally beat the encounter, but everyone was alive at the end! It doesn't mean no one died, but hell I'll take it :P
by skate4ltj, 139 days agoSince the new patch came out yesterday, we decided to give Onyxia a try. Although some of us have defeated her in old-world, the majority of us never attempted the fight. It took eight wipes working out the strategy we needed to us, and then on the ninth try she was down! Congrats everyone!
After the 25-man was over, since we couldn't get into VoA (instance not found dammit!) a 10-man group went to Onyxia and one-shot her. Nice!

by skate4ltj, 180 days agoOnly two attempts and we cleaned up that encounter like pros. Lord Jaraxxus was not kind; with no strategy preparation and an alt healer (yeah I know, my druid sucks), he got the best of us.
But tonight, with a clear strat ready to go and our full regular healing team... LORD JARAXXUS, YOU'RE ON NOTICE!!!
